Students for H.E.L.P. thank the Texas Medical Center Library for its donations!

Houston, TX, September 01, 2010

Students for HELP is excited to announce the inaugural t-shirt design for the organization's 2011 t-shirts.
The design of our t-shirt is for the national/international members, volunteers and donors in 2011.
Students for HELP focused on a design that captures our mission and commitment to our initiatives, and also the excitement and heartfelt spirit of our upcoming events. The organization’s t-shirts are the focus of the 2011 marketing movement; This marks the third marketing project of the organization, which plans to raise over substantial funds for the cause. Our plan is to reach out to our more than 100 Facebook fans, and their friends to help raise donations to support the team and this important cause. This year is a landmark year for the students for HELP in its efforts to fund research for our ongoing initiatives. The organization has already raised more than $120,000 in medical texts and journals in 2010 - surpassing its best year of fundraising, and looks forward raising more funds than ever before!

BOOK SHARE PROGRAM

We are extremely delighted to announce that the 2010 Book Share Project shipment of books reached The Gambia! The books were unloaded, catalogued, and organized by University faculty. Availability of educational texts and journals and access to robust University level libraries is crucial to the development of a student into a professional. It is vital for quality education; they increase literacy levels of university students, provide information and underpin professional development. The addition of the thousands journals and texts donated will serve to stimulate young minds for many years to come. We would like to thank the University of Texas (Austin and Houston) as well as all private donors for their continued support of our project. We would also like to thank the students for HELP members who provided their time and effort in making this project work.
